The pile of bells also raises the question of where the others have been sourced from, there are many possibilities, but the answer might provide more insight into why the townspeople try to take the bell away from the goose. However, given the context that the goose has stolen other bells in the past, it becomes possible that they have an actuality for trying to take the bell away from the goose. Obviously, the bell may have some innate meaning to the townspeople, as it belongs to a model village of their town. ![]() After traversing back through the real town, the goose drops the bell down into a hole, filled with various other bells, revealing that it has stolen other bells prior to the events that take place within the game itself. What is the significance of this bell? More specifically what does it mean to the townspeople, and what separate meaning does it have to the goose? While some birds do like to collect shiny objects geese and other domestic waterfowl are not particularly known to have this habit. While initially going through each level of the game, the townspeople generally only cared about you when you were affecting them in some way, however, they now all seem to want to take a bell, with presumably no relevance to them, away from you. Though this can clearly represent a form of reward for achievement, one cannot ignore the connotation that a crown would obviously have with a castle. Additionally, if a player manages to complete all of the optional extra objectives within the game, they are then rewarded with a crown to wear. The goose could have symbolically reenacted this, having had just destroyed the model castle in order to access the bell. ![]() It could allude to a historical castle that was once there, and is now no longer, perhaps destroyed or ruined over time. ![]() Given that the model shows the castle being after the miniature model, it perhaps alludes to there being a castle beyond the real model, however, this is not something that I am aware of a being explorable within the confinements of the game. What this model and mini model also bring into question is their presence of a castle, one that is seemingly not present within the town. Therefore, its existence, in addition to the model town within the model is quite meta. The goose having to trace back through the model village foreshadows its reality of having to go back through all of the sections of the village that it spent the whole game navigating through, which takes much longer than navigating through its counterpart. The goose then passes through the model versions, of the man and women’s gardens, town center, and the first garden, into the model version of the river that the goose began the beginning of its journey in the game on. ![]() The goose then enters the model pub through an arbor that is, unlike its real counterpart, the goose must duck under in order to get through. The first section after the castle features a model human figurine, looking at a model-model village, also featuring a castle. The goose traces back through a model town, one based on the town that has been terrorized by the goose’s antics. The clip chosen from Untitled Goose Game shows the unnamed goose carrying a bell in its beak, after it has picked it from a miniature castle that it has just destroyed, presumably in order to gain access to its prize. The game is very mechanical, with little cinematic value or context given until the end, which perhaps also raises more questions. In order to unlock new areas, you must complete at least all but one task on a to-do list provided for each given area. The goose is capable of honking, ducking, running, grabbing, and breaking objects, in addition to flapping its wings. Untitled Goose Game is a puzzle game in which you are a goose who causes havoc and is a nuisance to townspeople in villages across a few maps.
